Originally an electrical engineer, Brian has over 21 years of technical, business operational, and capital markets experience. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Brian is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario. Brian’s investment focus is on Digital Multimedia and Wireless. During his nine years at Celtic House, he has established himself as a domain expert in video and multimedia processing and is viewed by his peers as a leading semiconductor investor in Canada. His knowledge of the sector has unique breadth and depth, from the technicalities of the product to the intricacies of the market. His record of success includes ViXS Systems (a world leader in multimedia processing components) and Camilion Solutions (one of the fastest growing financial software companies in North America). He has held directorships on 13 private boards, and currently serves as a board member of eight Celtic House companies. Brian travels extensively in Europe and Asia. He has developed a strong business network in these regions that is being applied within the Celtic House portfolio to lower development costs and improve time-to-market. Andrew PinkertonInvestment Manager | Information Technology | GrowthWorks CapitalAndrew Pinkerton is an Investment Manager at GrowthWorks Capital focusing on information technology investments. Prior to joining the company in May 2003, Andrew worked in the Institutional Equity Research Groups at Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, Deutsche Bank Technology Group and Paine Webber Technology Group in San Francisco, California. Andrew has also worked in the Investment Banking Division of Alex, Brown & Sons in Boston, Massachusetts. Andrew graduated Cum Laude from Harvard College and also graduated with an MBA from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto. Andrew also serves on the Board of Directors for Activplant Corporation, Camilion Solutions, Covarity Inc., CVD Diamond, eJust Systems and Terago Networks. Philip PoulidisPresident and CEO | Morega Systems, Inc.Philip Poulidis brings over 17 years of technical and management experience from the Internet, telecom, software and semiconductor sectors to Morega. He has held senior level management positions in Marketing, Product Management and Business Development at both large corporations as well as start-ups. Prior to co-founding Morega, Philip held management positions in companies focusing on broadband access and networking semiconductor solutions, back-office service provider software and intrusion security products. His employers have included Intellon, Conexant, Novell and Aliant. Philip studied Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Toronto, holds a degree from Ryerson University in Telecommunications and Information Management and has received Marketing Management accreditation from the University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business. |
