Buddy Snow
President and CEO
Buddy Snow is President and Chief Executive Officer for Morega Systems Inc. Morega designs and develops premium video mobility solutions for pay television service providers worldwide.
Snow’s experience includes over 23 years of engineering, marketing, and executive management for consumer, broadband, and digital video products. He has spent the last 14 years developing and selling products into the worldwide cable television and IPTV markets. His previous experience includes executive management positions with Motorola Mobility, Terayon, Harmonic, DIVA Systems Corp., General Instrument (now Motorola Mobility). Snow has been responsible for a variety of product categories such as compression, video processing, VOD, SDV, back office software systems, and broadband modems and gateways including voice and home networking. Prior to broadband, Snow spent eight years working for Apple Computer, Inc.
Snow is a frequent speaker within the industry and has been quoted in key trade publications such as Multichannel News, Light Reading and Communications Technology Magazine.
Snow holds a BS degree from North Carolina State University in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also holds a patent in human interface design.
Ashraf Tahir
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Ashraf has lead the engineering development since joining Morega in April 2007, and has served as Vice President, Engineering since April 2011. His primary responsibilities include providing technical and management leadership within the engineering organization, and working with the executive team to define the technology roadmap and strategic direction of the company.
Prior to joining Morega, Ashraf held several Engineering positions at Cogency Semiconductor, a fabless semiconductor company focused on powerline ICs. Cogency was acquired by Intellon Corporation in 2004; while at Intellon, Ashraf lead the firmware development for Intellon's HomePlug Turbo ICs.
Ashraf has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Mohammad Nejad-Sattary
Vice President, Product Development
Mohammad joined Morega in November 2012. His primary responsibilities are leadership and operational management of the engineering and quality assurance teams, working with the executive team to execute the most optimal delivery roadmap to meet the corporate strategic direction.
Prior to joining Morega, Mohammad has held a number of executive and senior engineering leadership positions in the enterprise application space, serving supply chain management, public transit, telecommunications and the ticketing industries.
Mohammad holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from London University and a PhD in Computer Science from City University, London.
Eric Lefebvre
Vice president of Business Development
Eric Lefebvre is Vice president of Business Development at Morega since May 2012. Eric has over 22 years of experience in business development and strategic marketing.
Eric was a co-founder and EVP of Business Development for Axentra responsible for all business and strategic initiatives . Before joining Axentra, Eric held several management positions at Mainsoft, GraphOn and Corel Corporation. At Mainsoft, Eric was Vice President of Business Development responsible for strategic development and partnerships with key players such as Microsoft, Compaq/HP and Computer Associates. At GraphOn Corp, Eric was also an executive of the company as VP of Business Development and Sales and contributed to a successful IPO. Eric also developed the European and Asian market and established a joint venture in Hong Kong to serve the Chinese market. At Corel, Eric was Director of Strategic Business and marketed new technologies and products with partners as well managing key alliances such as Compaq and Nortel.
Eric has a Bachelor Degree (Science) from Maryland University and a Masters of International Affairs (MA) from the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs. The focus of his thesis was on conflict resolution and negotiations.
Sean Whyte
Vice President, Finance and Administration
Sean joined Morega in April 2007 as VP of Finance of Administration. In his position, his primary responsibility is to lead Morega's strategic financial direction and global financial management, planning, control, reporting, risk management, and administrative resource management. Sean has extensive knowledge of finance and accounting in a wide breadth of industries and roles. Prior to joining Morega, he held financial management positions at ViXS Systems Inc., DWL Inc. (acquired by IBM in 2005) and Hummingbird Ltd. (acquired by Open Text in 2006).
Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
